Kids grow up so fast, and time flies, doesn't it?!

Seems like it was just yesterday that this first photo was taken of my guys...
And now look...
In the time since I last posted I watched my older son Daniel graduate high school...

Watched younger son David compete in the Ford/AAA National Autoskills Competition in Dearborn, Michigan...
Doesn't he look handsome in his uniform?
His father was quite proud. Can you tell?
Let's see. I also interviewed for a job for the first time in 19 years...teacher's assistant...which I wasn't offered...darn it! I need to follow up on that though.
Organized/taught crafts at Vacation Bible School at my church.
And the last couple of weeks...the last couple of weeks have been spent life guarding kids (nieces and nephews mostly) in the pool. Brad's sister Carole from Nashville came for a visit, and my brother's kids who live in town need some respite from this heat! So this is my excuse for spending lazy days by the pool. My own kids? They are too busy with work and social outings to spend time in the pool.

Hope you all are having a good summer! And if you are getting lots of rain, please send some this way! We need it! :-)

Well how nice to see you again!!!! Congratulations on your sons achievements! And I love the recreated picture! My kids stole a photo from our house a couple years ago from when they were little, and for Christmas had it recreated. So special!
Enjoy summer!!!
Sounds like you're having a fun and busy summer!
Yay!!! You're back!!!
Congratulations on everything!
I love the "new-old" picture. How cool is that???
I feel your blog really useful and inspiring me. Thank you.
What good looking guys! Sounds like you have been busy. I have resurfaced.... back with the living! Hope your summer is going well. I am back to school in just about a week. Take care!
xoxo Jill
Hi Lisa, I hope you're having a great summer! I'm hoping you can help me. My friend's mom asked if I could make her some petit fours for a baby shower. I feel confident that I can make them, I've made them years ago, but I'm just not sure how much to charge her for them. I remembered seeing pictures on your blog of some that you've made and was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me what you charge for them. Any info you can give would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!
